Hyundai Grand i10 Nios CNG Launched, Costs Rs 73,000 More than Petrol Model

Hyundai Motor India has finally launched the CNG-powered Grand i10 Nios. The hatchback is offered in two trim levels, namely- Magna and Sportz.

The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Turbo was launched in February this year, and now, the carmaker has introduced the CNG variant of the B1-segmenter in India in a price range of Rs 6.62 lakh to Rs 7.16 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Grand i10 Nios CNG is fitted with a bi-fuel (petrol+CNG) version of the 1.2-litre Kappa natural aspirated four-pot motor. The new petrol+CNG unit puts out 69PS of peak power at 6,000 rpm and 95.12 Nm of twisting force at 4,000 rpm. The engine comes paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. There’s no AMT option of offer with the CNG trim.

The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios CNG employs a 60 litre CNG tank, while the petrol trim offers a fuel tank of 37 litres. The carmaker has not unveiled the fuel economy of the CNG variant. Hyundai is offering the hatchback in two different trim levels, namely- Magna and Sportz. The Magna trim comes loaded with features like wheel covers, 2 DIN audio system with Bluetooth connectivity option, steering mounted controls, height-adjustable driver’s seat, all four power windows, USB port and iblue app support, electrically adjustable side mirrors and driver side window with auto down function.

On the other hand, the Sportz variant features an 8-inch touchscreen screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, 14-inch sporty looking alloy wheels, digital speedometer with MID, all four power windows, shark fin antenna and much more. In terms of safety, the hatchback employs features like central locking, speed sensing auto door locking, driver and passenger airbags, impact sensing door unlock, ABS with EBD and speed alert system. The top-spec Sportz variant also gets projector fog lamps at the front, rear defogger and a reverse parking camera. The carmaker is offering the hatchback in 6 looking colour shades.
