Hyundai Launches New Creta Sports With 20 Updated Features On Offer

Hyundai Creta is an unrivalled segment-leading vehicle meant to compete in the mid-size SUV segment. In recent time, a whole host carmakers, old and new alike, have been scrambling to enter this lucrative segment for a piece of the pie. For instance, Kia Motors is a new player in the market and has scheduled the launch of its Kia Seltos on August 22. This new SUV will challenge the reign of the Hyundai Creta for the mid-size SUV segment crown, when it finally does hit the road. As a means to fortify its own standing in the market, Hyundai has introduced the Hyundai Creta Sports to its lineup with an aim to draw customers’ attention back to its successful offering.

The addition of Hyundai Creta Sports is likely to refresh the appeal of the Creta

Being a limited edition, Hyundai Creta Sports is available at a slight premium over the standard model, with prices kept at INR 12.78 lakh (ex-showroom) and INR 14.12 lakh (ex-showroom) for the petrol and diesel version, respectively. Both versions of the Creta Sports are exclusively available with a manual transmission. The mechanicals of the Hyundai Creta Sports remain unchanged in comparison to the standard version. However, what the Creta Sports does come with is the addition of various cosmetic updates.

The Creta Sports is offered in two paint shemes, Phantom Black and a dual-tone Polar White-Phantom Black compbination. The dual-tone version costs INR 11,000 more than the single-tone version. To accentuate its sporty appeal, it also gets a smoked headlight design, dark chrome garnishing on the lower air intake bezel and silver roof rails. With the addition of chrome-finished faux dual exhaust tips, a rear spoiler and black ORVMs are also on offer.

The interior ambience of this special edition Creta Sports is highlighted with the use of an all-black scheme. Additions include a leather-wrapped steering wheel with contrast stitching on the seat upholstery, AC vents finished with silver surroundings and the addition of an electric sunroof to complete the premium appeal,.

Since the Hyundai Creta Sports in based on the model's SX variant, there is a whole host of goodie on offer as well. In terms of features, you get  a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, wireless phone charger and cruise control. Safety features remain the same as well, they include  ABS, EBD, dual front airbags, speed-sensing door locks, high-speed alert, front seatbelt reminder and impact-sensing door unlock.
