Hyundai Santa Cruz pick up truck will be launched in the production format towards the end of this year or in early 2021.

Hyundai Santa Cruz Pickup broke the covers for the first time five years ago at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) as a concept model. This rugged vehicle had instantly grasped the attention of the visitors as well as other international car fans. Ever since its debut, there were rumours around the possible launch of this vehicle as a mass-production car. Recently, a set of spy pictures of the production version of the Santa Cruz finally confirmed the speculation around this pick-up truck’s market debut. Taking cues from the spy images, KKSStudio has rendered a digital version of the Hyundai Santa Cruz Pickup.

Hyundai Santa Cruz Rendering

The concept Hyundai Santa Cruz Pickup was perceived as a bold and daring design study back when it was introduced for the first time. Even though the market trend has changed a lot ever since, the concept Santa Cruz still remains fresh and contemporary. Still, it is likely that Hyundai will add some new design elements to the production version of the pick-up truck to keep it relevant to the current market.

Going back to the rendering model, it becomes clear that the concept’s impressive design will be toned down for the production version. On this rendering, the Hyundai Santa Cruz Pickup carries over the Santa Fe’s grille, which is possibly the case for the real-life model since the Santa Cruz is basically based on this premium crossover.

KKSStudio has twisted the edge of the grille extending toward the two ends, which reminds us of the Vision T concept. Moreover, the boomerang-shaped fog light housing is also adjusted to take in a boxy form while the lower air intake and skid plates with black cladding are redesigned to look less rugged. The side profile also takes in a more conventional look with a new wheel design which is given away from the latest spy shots.

Hyundai Santa Cruz Pick-Up Imagined in Production-spec Livery

Hyundai Santa Cruz was spied recently, thereby confirming the mass production model will launch in the coming times. Based on the spy images, here's the latest speculative rendering of the upcoming model

It has been officially revealed by Hyundai that the Santa Cruz will be assembled at its Alabama production facility. It also means that the pick-up truck will come from the same place as the Santa Cruz SUV. The Hyundai Santa Cruz is likely to derive power from either a 2.4-litre unit (185 Bhp) or a 2.0-litre engine (238 Bhp) petrol engine. Its world premiere is likely to take place at the end of this year or early next year. To get updates about this model as well as other new upcoming cars, stay tuned to IndianAuto.com.
