With Hyundai Santro to be launched within days, we have seen the rendering of the cross version of upcoming Santro. Let's take a look at the Santro Cross.

Hyundai Santro is one of the most awaited new cars to launch in the festive season of 2018. And this car is due to be unveiled in days. It is expected to expand Hyundai’s share in the small car segment after the failure of the Hyundai Eon. Images and information of the Santro have been revealed recently.

As we all know, it is most of the carmakers these days will take the best of out their popular cars by releasing a cross variant. The birth of the cross version of a car is not a unique strategy. We have seen the WRV developed from Honda Jazz, Maruti Celerio X from Maruti Celerio, Tata Tiago NRG from Tiago, Datsun Go and Datsun GO Plus, and many more.

It is also expected that the new Santro will probably have a sibling with the same first name. Even though it is still too soon to talk about the possibility of this car, the idea of Santro Cross has caught in the mind of digital artist Pratyush Rout who has created the rendering of the expected car.

The rendering of Hyundai Santro Cross has been circulating around the Internet

Based on the hatchback Santro, The rendering portrayed a sportier version with higher ground clearance, rubber body claddings and revamped bumper with a rugged look. This individual work is definitely a good-looking model which many would love to pay for. The rendering of this car also proves that a cross version of the Santro is not a bad idea. If Santro Cross is realized, it might take on the Tiago NRG which is recently launched and the Maruti Celerio X. For the pricing, it is likely that the Santro Cross will be about Rs 20,000 to 30,000 higher than the original Santro.

But as far as we know, Hyundai hasn’t confirmed anything yet about the Santro Cross.

Back to the upcoming Hyundai Santro, it will keep the tallboy stance. What’s more, it will come with a larger dimension and more state-of-art features. And it will also come into 6 new trims, which are DLite, Era, Magna, Sportz and Asta.
