Hyundai Santro Sales Exceeds 50,000 Unit Mark In India

Hyundai launched the Santro last year on October 23. The new hatchback instantly became hit in the market. Five months after launch, Hyundai Santro has crossed the 50,000 sales milestone. In response to the increasing demand, Hyundai will raise the price of their hot-selling hatchback next month.

At launch, to appeal a mass audience, the Santro was launched at the introductory price of 3.89 lakh. The aggressive price for a well-equipped package has worked well in attracting a wider band of customers. After recruiting enough followers, Hyundai will put a hike on the price of the Hyundai Santro. The price change is expected to take place within weeks.

Hyundai Santro has become one of the best selling models in India 

Hyundai Santro is an all-rounder. Based on the newly-revised platform, the Santro is constructed with better built quality. What’s more, in terms of safety, the Santro is equipped with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, seat belt with pre-tensioners across the range. Besides, it is packed with a load of comfort and entertainment features including touch screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, rear parking camera with sensors, rear AC vents, electronically adjustable exterior mirrors, multi-function steering wheel.

Hyundai Santro is so successful thanks to the fully-loaded interior

The power setting of Hyundai Santro includes a 1.1-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that makes 69 PS of maximum power and 101 Nm of maximum torque. Besides, a CNG option is also available. These engine options are offered with either 5-speed manual gearbox or an AMT gearbox. This is also the first time that Hyundai offers an AMT transmission.

At the moment, Hyundai Santro is available with five variants, D-Lite, Era, Magna, Sport and the top-spec Asta. It is currently priced from 3.89 lakh to 5.45 lakh. In the upcoming weeks, the details of the price hike-up scheme will be announced.
