Hyundai Venue, Creta, Elite i20, And Santro To Get Costlier From Next Month

Next month, the entire line-up of the Hyundai Motor will receive price hike. The price will be raised by up to Rs 9,200.

In the Indian content, Hyundai has been among the leading car firms with the second-largest share in the market. Currently, the South-Korean carmaker is offering around 15 cars for sale in India. Two of its recently launched vehicles, the Hyundai Venue and the Hyundai Kona EV, have been instant hits among the Indian car buyers. In the latest development, the company has informed us that from next month, prices of its entire range of models will be increased by up to Rs 9,200. The price hike is even applied to all the hot-selling models such as Hyundai Venue, Creta, Santro and Elite i20.

The Indian automobile industry is approaching a turning point following various changes in the law and regulations. For instance, the new safety norms require ABS, airbags, front seatbelt reminder, high-speed warning alert and rear parking sensor to be mandatory in all models. Besides, from October 2019, all car model will need to pass the frontal impact and side-impact crash tests to qualify for sale in the Indian market.

New sets of standards on safety and emission limit demand extensive upgrading of the existing models. To keep up with the market transformation, the carmakers have to work hard to renovate and update their line-up. Undoubtedly, a rise in price is unavoidable in such a scenario. Before Hyundai, HondaToyota, and Renault have also announced a price hike for all of their models.
