Hyundai has launched a new special variant of the Venue in the South-Korean market, and it is named as FLUX. Read here to know more.
Hyundai Venue’s biggest market across the globe is in India. It is also the best-selling compact SUV of the country. However, Hyundai has launched a new special edition of the Venue in South Korea – FLUX. The Indian market, on the other hand, is kept away from this special edition. The FLUX variant of the Venue basically gets a set of cosmetic add-ons to differentiate itself from the regular Venue. Firstly, it gets a new hot-stamped radiator grille with chrome bits studded on it in a nice pattern. This is reminiscent of MG‘s starlight and star-ride grilles. Also, Mercedes-Benz has been using such an effect on its diamond-pattern radiator grille. Overall, this theme for the grille is quite contrary to the car’s funky design, but looks premium, nonetheless.
The other changes on the exterior include a circular ‘FLUX’ badge on the C-pillar in a contrasting fluorescent green colour scheme. Although this badge is also available as an OEM accessory for regular variants of Venue. A fluoro-green colour scheme is also used on the FLUX variant to highlight certain parts. It is used on fog lamps housings, wheel-arch cladding trim, ORVMs, and roof. On the inside, the interior also features colour matched elements, such as climate control dials, drive mode dials, and AC vents adjusters. Also, the seats feature contrasting stitching in the very colour.
In the FLUX special edition, the Venue doesn’t feature any mechanical changes, whatsoever. The South-Korean Venue continues to measure at 4,040 mm in length, 1,770 mm in width, and 1,580 mm in height. Also, the wheelbase remains the same at 2,520 mm.
Hyundai Venue is offered with a 1.6L Smartstream petrol engine in South Korea. This 4-cylinder naturally aspirated motor is capable of putting out a peak power output of 123 PS at 6,300 clicks and a max torque of 153.96 Nm at 4,500 rpm. The transmission duties are performed by an IVT (CVT) unit. Hyundai does not offer the Venue with an AWD system even as an option. Talking of the prices, the FLUX variant carries a sticker price of KRW 2,15,00,000, which is equivalent to Rs. 13.56 lakh.
