Hyundai Venue Sport Trim TVC Released

Launched on May 21 last year, Hyundai Venue has quickly gained considerable popularity in the sub-four-meter SUV segment. One year after launch, the Hyundai Venue starts to face more severe competition from other rivals in the segment. With the new Kia Sonet preparing to enter the market, Hyundai Motor India Ltd has updated its sub-4-metre SUV contender in order to keep it in the limelight. The company has brought in a new transmission option and even a Sport trim to Hyundai Venue’s range. In line with this, the company recently dropped a new TVC for the Hyundai Venue Sport variant as well as the new iMT transmission.

The highlight of the new TVC is the iMT gearbox system. The iMT means “‘intelligent manual transmission”, which is a clutchless manual gearbox. With this new gearbox option, the driver can enjoy the convenience of clutchless drive on a manual car. This transmission still keeps the manual gear stick; however, the clutch pedal is discarded. This transmission option is unique in the segment.

After adding the new Sport variant and the iMT gearbox, the number of variants on the Hyundai Venue’s line-up will increase, offering more choices for the customers. Compared to the regular counterparts, the Sport variants bear no difference in terms of the features. However, with regards to the cosmetics, the Sport variants come with some new design highlights that set them apart from the standard version. Exteriorly, the Sport variants get new red inserts on the grille and the wheel arches, as well as on the side skirts and the brake callipers. The red accents are also used on the interior, around the AC vents and knobs. Moreover, the seats also receive a contrast red-stitching on the seats and steering wheels.

Hyundai Venue Sport is available at the price range starting from Rs 10.20 lakh to Rs 11.58 lakh

The Sport trims will be available in three variants, SX Sports, SX+ Sport and SX (O) Sport. Prices of the Sport trim starts from Rs 10.20 lakh and goes up to Rs 11.58 lakh. The Sport trim is on offer with two engine options, 1.0-litre turbo petrol and the 1.5-litre diesel engine. However, the iMT gearbox is paired exclusively with the 1.0-litre turbocharged engine. Variants with iMT are available from Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 11.20 lakh. The power output of this powertrain is similar to the regular version. It is expected that Hyundai will soon include this new transmission option in the diesel range, depending on the customer’s reception.

Hyundai Venue rivals the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and Mahindra XUV300 as well as the upcoming Kia Sonet.
