Launched last year, the Kia Seltos has become a force to reckon with. It's also gaining popularity in the modification world.

Thanks to its sharp appearance, top-notch features and reasonable price, the Kia Seltos has soon become one of the most popular SUVs in India and has contributed a great deal to Kia’s third position on the monthly sales chart last month. This popularity is reflected through the SUV’s long waiting period. Like some of its competitors like the Hyundai Creta and the Tata Harrier, the Kia Seltos has started to show its great modification potentialities. Below is a video which shows a mildly modified Kia Seltos.

Let’s start with the modifications done to the exterior. In the video, the Kia Seltos comes with a chrome garnish around the grille. On the side profile, the brake calipers have received a red paint scheme to help it have a sporty appeal. Besides, the vehicle also features door visors, door handles with chrome garnish and rear LED reflector light.

Unlike the exterior which only gets some minor alterations, the interior has received a complete revamp. The door pads come with leather padding with wooden inserts. The power window panel also sports a gloss black finish which is harmonious with the brown padding. A faux wooden panel extends across the dashboard. There is also brown wrap around the steering wheel. The seats now get brown perforated leather upholstery with high-quality stitching. Steering door pads quality is also very good as well. The floor comes with a 7D mat which properly fits the car. All of these give the Kia Seltos cabin a more premium design.

The more remarkable modifications of the car come to the interior.

The modified Kia Seltos keeps under its hood three motor options: 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre diesel and 1.4-litre turbo petrol engines. The transmission duties are undertaken by both a manual and automatic gearbox on all of the motor options. The Kia Seltos EV will be launched in the international market this year. It will borrow the engine options from the Hyundai Kona EV, which is available in India. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen whether the Kia Seltos EV will come to India.
