India-bound 2021 Audi Q2 Revealed With Aggressive Styling

Audi has recently revealed the new Q2 in the European market. The 2021 Audi Q2, which is scheduled to hit the Indian shores in the coming months, looks great with the revised styling package

The German luxury carmaker Audi has recently revealed the 2021 Q2 in Europe and the bookings are likely to initiate in the coming days. Audi has updated the styling of the SUV, and it now gets powered by a new engine. Audi Q2 remains to be the most affordable SUV in the automaker’s stable. Talking about its looks, the SUV now gets a lower set single-frame grille up front, which makes the car look wider.

The front grille features a new polygon design, which looks similar to that of the new diffuser insert at the back. Moreover, the air intakes at the front have also been revised, and the top-spec trims of the SUV will get three slits between the bonnet and the grille- a design which is inspired by the Quattro rally car. LED headlamps are now offered as a standard fitment, while the top-of-the-line variants will get Matrix LED adaptive units along with dynamic side indicators at the rear. Inside, the new 2021 Audi Q2 employs a new gear lever, revised AC vents and new material options.

The new Audi SUV also gets four-way adjustable front seats as standard. It’ll feature a few standard features like an electronic tailgate, smartphone connectivity options, reverse parking sensors and cruise control. Furthermore, the top-of-the-line variants will get an 8.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit that can be controlled through a rotary dial or voice recognition, a 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit digital instrument cluster and a driving mode selector.

Mechanically, it’ll derive power from a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-pot gasoline mill, which puts out 150 PS of peak power and 250 Nm of twisting force. Transmission duties will be done by a 6-speed MT or a 7-speed automatic gearbox. The automaker has also said that they’ve plans to introduce two additional petrol and two diesel engines, which are likely to be offered in the coming months. The new 2021 Audi Q2 is expected to hit the Indian shores by the end of this year or early 2021 and will be priced between Rs 30-40 lakh.
