India-Bound Audi A3 Sedan Imagined Digitally

Audi has officially unveiled the fourth-generation A3 Sportback recently. Based on the Sportback, Audi will be soon taking the covers off the second-generation A3 sedan. Our digital rendering expert, Shoeb R. Kalani, could not wait for the manufacturer, and thus, have come up with his idea of the 2021 A3 Saloon. In pictures, it can be seen that the new A3 will sport dynamic exterior with a squatter stance.

On the front, it will feature an expressive face with the widest grille ever seen on any A3 yet, and dart-shaped air intakes to cool the brakes off. Flanking the sharp headlamp design, the A3 will come with Matrix-LED headlamps in its second-generation. Also making that face look tight and aggressive is a new bonnet with sharper crease lines. Moving on the sides, the A3 will continue with large glass area and similar roofline with no coupe-like drama. However, the sides will now feature new design for the alloy wheels, and will have more convex surfaces than the car it will replace. The rear facet of the next-gen A3 will also feature new bumper, with faux air vents to give the car a sporty appeal. Like the headlamps, the tail lamps will also be redesigned with sharper LED elements and wrap-around design for the assembly.

The interior of the A3 sedan are expected to be identical to the hatchback version of the car.

The interior of the car would be identical to the A3 hatchback, which has a more understated design just like the bigger Audis’. It will now come with a 10.1-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment system and will support a host of connectivity options like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, integrated LTE-A SIM, and WiFi hotspot. Talking of the features, the A3 will feature a wireless charging pad, 12.3-inch display for the virtual cockpit, and remote locking and unlocking via smartphone and Amazon Alexa.

A couple of engine options are also expected to be offered with the A3. Starting with the smallest on the list, a 150 PS 1.5L TFSI petrol motor, a 1.6-L TDI diesel, 2.0-L TFSI petrol, and a 2.0L TDI diesel engine. The 1.5L TFSI motor is expected to come paired with a 48-volt mild-hybrid set up to offer the best-in-class performance and efficiency figures. The next-gen A3 is expected to make its way our shores early next year to take on a direct competition with the Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine.
