The Citroen C5 Aircross is bound to reach the Indian shores sometime during the first quarter of the next financial year.

Sourced from Sweden back in the 1970s, the evasive manoeuvre test, or Moose test is a popular test to determine the vehicle’s handling capabilities. Moose test is performed to see how well a car handles the quick directional changes in cases of the suddenly-appearing obstacles, like a Moose. It is a bit challenging. Some vehicles have performed excellently in the test while many others have even turned turle on the track. The Citroen C5 Aircross, which is bound to reach the Indian market next year, has also taken the moose test and we are all impressed by the results.

During the first round of the test, the C5 Aircross shows a brilliant composure at a relatively safe speed of 73 kmph. The compact SUV holds its line almost perfectly and grips the road pretty well even though there’s a large amount of body roll on offer.

Once the driver gets more familiar with the car’s reaction to the emergency steering inputs, he identified the maximum speed at which the C5 Aircross can maintain its good composure. In the second round, the car took the entry speed of 79 kmph and it suffers from a bit of understeer. However, thanks to the help of the electronic aids, the C5 Aircross sailed through course with ease.

Coming to the third round of the moose test, the Citroen C5 Aircross got the entry speed of up to 81 kmph. Again, the car held a good line through the course with minimal trouble, except for knocking over one cone. When the SUV took the first corner, it witnessed slight understeer at the beginning, but the overall result of the third round was still impressive.
