India-bound Volkswagen T-Cross Fully Unveiled

The first small SUV of Volkswagen named T-Cross had its world’s premiere in Amsterdam, Shanghai, and Sao Paulo yesterday. The VW T-cross would make its entry into the Indian shores at the end of 2020.

Volkswagen Group is one of the world’s leading automobile manufacturers headquartered in Wolfsburg, Germany. Yesterday, Volkswagen Group announced its plan to extend the production line-up in the global market by the world’s premiere of the T-Cross in Amsterdam, Shanghai and Sao Paulo. The smallest SUV of its product portfolio, the VW T-Cross has made its debut in public with a bunch of outstanding highlights in styles and design.

Regarding the design, the VW T-Cross underpins the same MQB-A0 platform as the Polo and the Virtus. While featuring a masculine design, the new-gen T-Cross still holds independent characteristics that will lead the transformation for the new generations of Volkswagen cars. The mini SUV measures 4107 mm long, 1750 mm wide and 1558 high. The T-cross also comes with the long-wheelbase version with 4199 mm in length and 1568 mm in height.  Particularly, the Volkswagen T-Cross will offer 12 interior colours dominating the dashboard and the cabin.

Inside the vehicle, it comes to provide all connectivity features that boast comfort, infotainment, convenience and safety required in a modern car such as

Thanks to numerous advanced features, the new T-Cross succeeded in attracting customers' interest

Under the hood, the all-new SUV T-Cross is expected to offer both petrol and diesel oil burner. The engine will vary from 90PS 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol to 95PS 1.6-litre turbo-diesel units that are all mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and 6-speed direct-shift gearbox (DSG).

The all-new Volkswagen T-Cross will hit the international market in mid-April next year. It will reach the Indian shores as a sub-four metre SUV around 2021 to rival against Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Ford Ecosport.
