Africa-spec Honda Amaze, which is made in India, has scored 4-star rating in the Global NCAP crash tests

The second-generation Honda Amaze is exclusively manufactured in India. This model is exported from India to other markets all around the world, including the African market. Recently, the Africa-spec Honda Amaze scored a four-star rating in the Global NCAP crash tests.

In the Global NCAP safety test, the car went through various tests to determine the level of safety it provides. For the African market, Honda Amaze is available with dual airbags, front seatbelt pre-tensioners and driver seatbelt reminder as standard across the range. In this regard, the standard India-spec Amaze edges out with additional equipment like dual front seat beat reminder and speed alert system. In a standard Global NCAP crash test, the vehicle is exposed to a crash with at a speed of 64 kmph. This test is stricter in comparison with India’s standard crash test set by the government. In India, the crash speed is fixed at 56 kmph.

On the Global NCAP, Honda has scored 14.08 points out of 17.00 for adult safety

Honda Amaze scores a good four stars for adult safety. To be exact, it gains 14.08 points out of maximum 17.00 for adult safety. On the other hands, child safety only stands at 8.16 points out of the maximum 49 points. The test also illustrates some level of possible head injury on the child dummies (an 18-month-old and a three-year-old) used during the crash despite that the child seat was employed.
