On Saturday, the government officials destroyed gangster Vikas Dubey’s house in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh with a backhoe. The criminal had shot eight policemen to death when implementing a failed raid in Dehat, Kanpur. The Kanpur district administration utilized the same earthmover which is used by the criminals to block the police cars in Bikru village, which is 45 kilometre far from the district police headquarter.
Besides destroying the house of the gangster, the officials also used this JCB to demolish two cars which were parked inside the house. A video on Twitter shows the JCB toying the white Mahindra Scorpio and shred it to pieces. The JCB then moved around the wreck under the officials’ control. There was also another vehicle, a first-gen Toyota Fortuner. The JCB then also completely destroyed the Fortuner’s roof. Both the Toyota Fortuner and Mahindra Scorpio has a good built quality and are quite popular in the Indian auto market. There is no confirmation regarding whether the cars belong to the criminal or not. Both of them have been completely demolished and cannot be saved or made usable again.
Eight policemen were shot to death, which took the whole state aback. The Mohit Agarwal, Inspector (IG) of Kanpur, stated that built in 2013, the fortified one-story house had a 12-foot boundary and barbed wire for the purpose of protection. He also said that Dubey was accused of grabbing the land from the people with his muscle power and extorting money from them. The police are also looking for evidence around the house. A bunker, 25 live rounds and shrapnels with six country-made pistols, two kilograms of explosives have been found. IG Agarwal stated that the house has been a safe shelter for the criminals for days.
