The Low-D is shifted for the 2021, so if you had plans to get home a 7-seater Jeep Compass, the wait for getting one would gonna be even longer.

The news of 7-seater Jeep Compass has been around for a while, and for sure, most of you would’ve heard of it too. However, if you were eager to buy one, you’ll have to wait a little more longer for the Jeep Compass 7-seater launch to take place. As the FCA-owned American brand will now be focusing on updating the Compass first, development of the 7-seater version has taken a backseat. From the looks of it, Jeep has been working on an extensive facelift for its small-sized SUV.

Since the Ranjangaon based manufacturing facility is the only one deployed for producing the RHD cars and with BS-6 norms nearing in, the manufacturer plans to bring the BS-6 spec Compass with a facelift. And, to suffice the RHD markets with the facelifted Compass, the facility will have to be used at its peak. Thus for the same reasons, Low-D (Codename for the 7-seater Jeep Compass) has been scheduled for 2021, until the facelifted Compass is delivered to the various RHD market in surplus amount.

The facelift will see some extensive sheet metal changes to give the car a fresher and distinctive appeal. Also, the BS-6 versions of the car would be rolled out with the facelift only. However, to retain its market share, Jeep will be working on making its 1.4L petrol compliant to BS-6 emission norms. While it already has the BS-6 compliant iteration of the 2.0L diesel powerplant, more variants of the car with this engine would be rolled out soon.

Jeep is currently working on giving the Compass an extensive facelift, which is why the 7-seater version is scheduled for 2021.
