Upcoming Jeep Compass Facelift Snapped While Testing, Launch Next Year

2021 Jeep Compass facelift will launch in our market next year. It’ll sport a lot of minor changes on the outside and some noticeable ones on the inside.

A few days back, FCA revealed its upcoming Jeep Compass facelift at the Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition in China. The new 2021 model of the SUV is likely to launch in the Chinese market in the coming weeks. Afterwards, the SUV will be launched in foreign countries like Europe. One can expect the carmaker to launch the facelifted model of Jeep Compass in our market by next year. The SUV has been spied several times while getting tested. Recently, the test mule of the Jeep Compass facelift has been spied once again, and the SUV was heavily camouflaged.

Front-side-look-of-Jeep-Compass-facelift

This picture has been shared by a Facebook user named Karan Patel. From the front look, it’s quite difficult to recognize the car. The upcoming model of the SUV will employ subtle cosmetic and feature updates on outside and inside. The front fascia of the SUV will get a revised seven-slat grille with a few chrome accents. It’ll also get a redesigned headlamp cluster and front bumper. The new bumper of the 2021 Jeep Compass will now come integrated into the headlamp cluster unlike those seen on the ongoing model. On the sides, the SUV will get a new set of alloy wheels, while the rear-end of the car is expected to look identical to that of the ongoing model. Inside, the cabin of the SUV will get a revised cabin, covered with premium leather with double stitch effect to enhance the upmarket feel of the car.

The biggest update inside the cabin of the 2021 Jeep Compass facelift is the addition of a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Mechanically, the SUV is expected to remain the same. The ongoing model of Jeep Compass derives power from 1.4-litre turbo petrol and 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel motor. The former develops 163bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque, while the latter puts out power and torque outputs of 170bhp and 350 Nm, respectively. The petrol engine is offered with a 6-speed MT or a 7-speed DCT. On the other hand, the diesel mill comes coupled to a 6-speed MT or a 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
