Recent spy pictures of the upcoming Jeep Compass facelift model give insight into the car's interior and exterior design.
The American SUV manufacturer Jeep is planning to increase its car lineup in India in the upcoming years. By the end of 2021, the carmaker will roll-out 2-3 locally built cars, which consists of Jeep Low-D 7-seater SUV along with a sub-compact SUV. Moreover, by the end of 2020 or early 2021, the carmaker will launch an updated version of the Compass in India. The ongoing Jeep Compass is already getting retailed with a BS-VI compliant motor, but the upcoming model will employ major upgrades on the outside and inside. Jeep will make some tweaks to its sheet metal along with the addition of new plastic components. The all-new spy images reveal that instead of the double-out exhaust unit, the 2020 Jeep Compass will employ a hidden exhaust muffler unit.

In terms of design, the all-new Jeep Compass will continue to get the squarish design upfront along with radiator grille and rear bumper. Inside, the updated Jeep SUV will feature an-all new interior. One can also expect FCA to offer the latest Uconnect, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The new infotainment unit was showcased at the Consumer Electronic Show 2019. The upcoming Uconnect5 will offer 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.

There are rumours that instead of the ongoing 1.4-litre, MultiAir 2 petrol engines, the 2020 Jeep Compass will be propelled by an all-new 1.3-litre, FireFly, four-cylinder, turbocharged engine. The new petrol motor will be offered in two states of tune- 150 PS with 270 Nm, and 180 PS with 270 Nm. We expect Jeep to bring the more potent 180 PS version to India, and offer three gearbox options as well, which consists of 6-speed MT, 6-speed DCT, and 9-speed automatic transmission. The carmaker will develop the new petrol mill at FCA’s facility in Bielsko-Biala, Poland.
