Jeep Compass Night Eagle Edition Launched At Rs 20.14 Lakh

The American automaker Jeep has finally launched its first global limited edition of the Compass in India. The new limited edition model of the SUV has been named as Jeep Compass Night Eagle Edition, the car is offered at a starting price tag of Rs 20.14 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the 4X2 petrol automatic variant and goes all the way up to Rs 23.31 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the 4X4 AT diesel trim. The carmaker has said that only 250 units of the special edition model will be allotted to the Indian market. As compared to the regular Jeep Compass, the limited edition model look sportier as it features multiple design updates. The new limited edition of Jeep Compass features the special ‘Night Eagle’ badging on the side fender and boot lid.

Moreover, it also gets piano black treatment on the front grille, fog lamp bezels, roof rails, and 18-inch alloy wheels, which makes the SUV look more elegant. The global model of the SUV is offered in 11 different colour shades, while the India-spec Compass is only offered in two colour options, namely- Exotica Red and Brilliant Black. The cabin of the new limited edition model features an all-black interior theme with techno leather upholstery along with black accents. The new Jeep Compass Night Eagle is based on the Longitudine Plus variant of the SUV and it comes loaded with features like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, hill start assist, engine start/stop button, cornering fog lamps, rear parking camera, ESP, 4 airbags, traction control, cruise control and more.

Mechanically, the SUV remains the same. The new limited edition model derives power from the same BS6-compliant 1.4-litre turbo-petrol and 2.0-litre diesel. The former puts out peak power and torque outputs of 162 PS and 250 Nm, respectively. The oil burner, however, develops 173 PS of max power and 350 Nm of twisting force. The SUV is offered with three different gearbox options - 6-speed MT, 7-speed DCT (petrol only), and 9-speed AT (diesel only).
