Kia Decides to Support its Customers and Dealers in These Turbulent Times

To help its dealers in these troublesome circumstances, Kia has revealed its road map to offer the dealers with some cashflow.

Kia has been doing pretty well in the Indian market. The carmaker would’ve clocked bigger records by now if it wasn't for this worldwide pause in car sales. Therefore, to deal with this challenging situation, Kia has announced its action plan to keep the interest of its dealers and customers intact. The brand has ensured the extension of the free warranty and service by a period of 2 months for its customers. Also, the company has donated 1 Lakh masks to the government with a motive of helping the frontline workers. The brand has also announced of several measures to support its dealers in such difficult circumstances.

The high demand for the Kia Seltos has helped its carmaker quickly establish itself well in the local car market.

The carmaker has come up with a proactive approach to help its dealer and its employees. The measures include,

  1. Support on Inventory: The brand will support the dealer with an interest cost of stock, which includes the vehicles in physical & transit stock.
  2. Reversal of Inventory: The unutilized funds of dealers lying with the manufacturer have already been or will be remitted back to the current account of respective dealerships.
  3. Warranty and NVI claim: The carmaker has credited all the claims related to free service and warranty of a Kia vehicle to the dealer’s account.
  4. Extended Warranty Payments:  The brand has credited back all the warranty payments to dealers within 15 days after the lockdown was imposed.

To avoid the physical interactions, carmaker is planning to come up with new measures to start selling its cars digitally. It is also encouraging its customers to book their car online via the website and avoid going to a dealership as much as possible, even after the lockdown is lifted. The carmaker has also asked the dealerships to stay prepared to operate in agreement with the government regulations of distancing and sanitisation after the lockdown. The manufacturer will be also providing its dealers with a total of 50,000 masks.
