Kia Mohave Gravity Is a Posh Toyota Fortuner Rival

Kia is known for selling some of the most stylish SUVs across the world. The Kia Telluride has been recently awarded with the World Car of The Year 2020 title. However, Kia lineup has another SUV above the Telluride, the ‘Mohave’, which has just launched in the company's home market. It is the brand’s flagship SUV offering. The carmaker has launched a new edition of this gigantic SUV, which is named as Mohave Gravity. With the Gravity badge, Mohave gets certain tweaks on the outside and as well as on the inside, to give the Mohave an even more upmarket appeal.

On the exterior, courtesy of the 'Gravity' treatment, the Mohave flaunts a new all-black radiator grille, which is inspired by the arrowheads. Also, it gets a new design for the 20-inch alloy wheels that incorporate snowflake crystal effect and black finish. The interior of the Mohave Gravity also features a few changes in comparison to the regular version of the car. It gets an all-black theme for the inside, thus giving a higher sense of sophistication in respect to the black and beige colour theme seen on the regular Mohave.

Also, the touchpoints such as steering wheel, centre console, and armrest on first and second rows, have been draped in black Alcantara leather. Mood lighting to the door panels is also specific to the Gravity badge. However, apart from introducing top of the line Gravity edition, Kia has also upgraded the 6-seater version of the lower grade of the Mohave. They will now come equipped with cup holders in the second row and with bigger headrests on all the three rows.

Powering the Kia Mohave Gravity is a Euro-6 compliant S2 turbocharged V6 diesel engine that is also shared across the other grades of the SUV. It develops a peak power output of 260 PS at 3,800 RPM and 560 Nm at 1,500 RPM. It comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, and a four-wheel-drive layout is offered as standard. Talking of the prices, the Mohave Gravity start at KRW 5,54,70,000 (Rs. 34.33 lakh).
