Official Accessories for Kia Seltos Revealed [Video]

Kia, the sister concern of Hyundai, is all set to launch its first product in the India market, the Kia Seltos. Based on an upgraded version of the Hyundai Creta's platform, the SUV will be available with a long list of accessories, which have been revealed in a video by Quikr.

Korean car manufacturer Kia is all set to make its local debut with the launch of the Kia Seltos on August 22. The Kia Seltos was first showcased at the 2018 AutoExpo as Kia SP2i concept and received a warm response from the audience. It has been unveiled in its production avatar recently. With its looks largely identical to the SP2i concept, it is expected to create a niche market for itself among the competition.

With the media drives concluded and spec-sheet disclosed, thereby revealing about the two different trims the car will be offered in, namely Tech and GT line, a lot is already known about the SUV to the masses. To add more on the information floating around the internet about the Kia Seltos, Quikr recently revealed details of the optional accessories for the new model through a video.

The clip shows the optional accessories that one can choose from at the time of buying the car. Kia is offering the option to load the car with bling, by chrome garnishes on offer for the front headlamp, window beltline, ORVMs, tail lamps, front and rear fog lamps. Kia is also offering some interestingly designed practical accessories apart from the chrome add-ons to spruce up the cosmetics of the car. A wheel edge protector, back and neck support pillow, side steps, and a boot organizer can also be selected as part of the accessory package to improve the overall practicality of the car. Loaded with an impressive 8-speaker Bose sound system, the Seltos even offers optional rear-seat entertainment screens.

Based on Hyundai Creta’s platform, the Kia Seltos hosts radically designed and proportionate exteriors. The car also comes equipped with new-age features like smart air purifier, 10.25-inch touchscreen interface, power-adjustable driver seat, reclining rear seats, UVO connect, electric sunroof with the anti-pinch feature, ambient lighting, and many more.

To propel the Kia Seltos, there will be 3 engine options to choose from. The Tech trim will be available with either with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol or a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine. The oil-burner will be even available in the top-spec GTX+ trim. The 1.5-litre petrol unit produces a peak output of 113 Bhp and 144 Nm, with the option of 6-speed manual transmission or CVT to choose from, while the diesel motor belts out a maximum power of 113 Bhp along with a peak torque of 250 Nm and comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission as standard and a 6-speed torque converter automatic unit as optional. The GT trim is available with a 1.4-litre petrol motor that generates 138 Bhp of peak power and 242 Nm of peak torque. The GT line can be had with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed DCT. The Kia Seltos will launch on August 22, 2019 and it will be exciting to see how well can Kia price its first car model in India.
