Kia Seltos Arrives At Dealerships Ahead Of Launch

Kia Seltos is slated to launch on August 22. At the time of its launch, the details about its prices will be revealed. Booking for the first Kia model started on July 16. Kia claimed that, within the first day after opening, the Seltos registered over 6,000 bookings. Test drive is due to be available in early August. For now, the delivery of the Kia Seltos to the dealerships for display was commenced. At the moment, Kia Motors has established a network of over 250 touchpoints across 160 cities across India.

Kia Seltos is delivered to dealers, ready to take test drives

Some specs of the Kia Seltos were revealed. According to sources, the Kia Seltos’s length, width and height measure 4,315 mm, 18,000 mm and 1,620 mm, respectively. Compared to the segment-leading Hyundai Creta, the Kia Seltos is actually longer and wider. The wheelbase of the Kia Seltos is also ahead of the Hyundai Creta’s, meaning a more spacious interior room. However, it is not as tall as the Creta. On the lower variants, Kia Seltos is fitted to a set of 16-inch wheels while the top-spec variants will receive larger 17-inch alloy wheels.

To avoid slipping potential customers with preferences for particular powertrain, Kia will provide a wide range of engine options on with their first vehicle ever in India so that all needs will be catered. Kia Seltos will come with two petrols and one diesel. A standard 6-speed manual gearbox will be available across the range. On the other hand, each engine will get a different optional automatic transmission. Recently, the fuel efficiency figures of the powertrains were revealed. If the leaked specs are true, Kia Seltos can be among the class-leading models in terms of fuel economy.

Kia Seltos will come with many segment-leading features

Besides various powertrain options, Kia Seltos also provides a slew of advanced features, for example,  8-inch head-up display, ventilated seats, 8-speaker Bose audio system, sunroof, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Besides, the UVO system will offer a load of advanced connectivity features. In terms of safety, Kia Seltos will be equipped with full-view parking camera, 6 airbags, all-wheel disc brake, ESC, ABS, Vehicle Stability Management, and Hill-assist control.

Kia Seltos is expected to be priced from around Rs 11 lakh to Rs 16 lakh. This SUV from the South Korean manufacturer will rival against the Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV500, Renault Captur, Nissan Kicks as well as the newly-launched MG Hector.
