Kia Seltos Bookings To Officially Open In July

The all-new compact SUV from the South Korean carmaker, Kia Seltos was officially wrapped off to the public on June 21. The car is expected to come in August 2019 and rival the likes of Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks and MG Hector. Now, the auto manufacturer of the Seltos has already announced that bookings for Kia’s first compact SUV will start during the second week of July 2019. Besides, Kia has also denied some claims that the company had kicked off the Seltos’s bookings recently. The South Korean brand confirmed that they hadn’t made any official statement before and the bookings for the upcoming SUV will start from July, followed by the launch advent in August of 2019.

The Kia Seltos had its official unveiling in India last Friday that has caused great hype amongst the auto enthusiasts.

Though the bookings scheme is still a while away, the Kia Seltos has managed to garner a phenomenal response from the prospective buyers across India. Customers are interested in its dashing silhouette, feature-laden cabin along with convincing engine-transmission packages. The Seltos features a set of full-LED headlamps that combine perfectly with other element design elements on the outside. The interior of the Kia’s SUV is feature-rich with a range of segment-first comfort-focused features such as a 10.25-inch display for the infotainment system, 7-inch coloured TFT, heads-up display, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, air purifier doubled up as the rear AC vents and so on.

The official bookings for the Kia Seltos will be accepted from the second week of July, 2019, as confirmed by Kia.

Speaking of the engines, the brand new Seltos will be available with three engine options for customers to choose from- a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor, a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel motor along with a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol unit. In the meantime, the Kia Seltos will be the first car in India to come up with three automatic transmissions alongside a manual gearbox.

A 6-speed manual transmission will become standard across the model lineup while there will be an option of a 7-speed DCT for the 1.4-litre turbo petrol, a CVT for the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 6-speed torque convertor for the diesel unit. Note that the 1.4-litre turbocharged gasoline engine will be developed exclusively for the performance-spec GT variant. Prices of the Kia Seltos is estimated to range from Rs 11 Lakh to Rs 17 Lakh (ex-showroom, India).
