Kia Seltos Petrol Turbo DCT Gets FREE Software Update

Kia Motor has introduced a service campaign for the Kia Seltos. As a part of the service campaign, all Kia Seltos turbo-petrol and diesel variants will receive 7 DCT Software Logic Improvement at free of charge.

In addition, Kia also provides fuel pump check for the Kia Seltos diesel. As for the turbo petrol DCT variant, the gearbox updates will allow the vehicles to enhance the acceleration at the first gear.

In the previous month, Kia also kicked off a similar service campaign for its customers. The campaign was exclusively provided for Kia Seltos diesel models which were produced from October 2019 to March 2020 due to a faulty fuel pump. After receiving feedback about the issue, Kia has conducted inspections for repair or replacement if needed. However, Kia did not refer to it as a recall but a “Service Action Campaign” which was provided for better experiences for customers.

At the moment, Kia is offering three models in India, including Kia Seltos, Sonet and Carnival. The Sonet is the last model to enter the line-up. It is also the best-selling vehicle of the entire portfolio. Last month, the compact SUV registered a total sales of 11,417 units. Kia Seltos came next with 9,205 units.

Kia Seltos is now available with three choices of engine. On the petrol range, the Seltos is powered by either a 1.5-litre or a 1.4-litre turbocharged unit. The other engine is a 1.5-litre diesel unit. Kia Seltos is rivalling against the likes of Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier and MG Hector.

In the recent developments, Kia Motors has confirmed the price hikes for the Kia Seltos and Sonet. The price updates will take place in January 2021. On the other hand, Kia Carnival will keep its current price tag. For the Kia Seltos, it has been nearly one year since its latest price updates. Launched just three months ago, Kia Sonet has not yet to receive any price increments. Apart from Kia, other car manufacturers like Maruti, Hyundai, Tata have also confirmed to increase their car prices from the beginning of 2021.
