The Kia Seltos will enter the hotly-contested SUV segment and expectedly pose a major threat to the best-selling Hyundai Creta. Spy images give us a brief idea of the exteriors of the Seltos SUV, which carries Kia’s signature tiger-nose with a sleek front grille, LED headlamps and LED daytime running lights, 18-inch machined alloy wheels with dual-tone treatment. The interior of the SUV was also spotted sans camo wraps during its TVC shoot abroad that drops a serious hint at how it could look like on the inside.

Under the bonnet, Kia’s first entrant in the Indian market might come up with a BS6 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel motor with the options of both manual and automatic transmissions. It will even get a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol unit that will be mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This powertrain will be restricted to the GT Line trim. Expect the Seltos to be slotted between Rs 10-16 Lakh price range and compete against the likes of Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier and the upcoming MG Hector.
