Kia Motor has launched its first vehicle Kia Seltos at the price of Rs. 9.69 lakh. The waiting period for each variant is recently revealed.
At the launch of the Kia Seltos, Kia Motor introduced the full details of the new vehicle and announce the waiting period for each variant. The booking for the Kia Seltos was officially opened on July 16. The South Korean carmaker claims to accumulated total bookings of 35,000 units and as per Kia’s statistic, one-fifth of the bookings have been made online.

Kia Seltos comes with three engine options, two petrol and one diesel. The petrol range includes a 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.4-litre turbo petrol unit. The former develops 115PS/144Nm while the latter produces 140PS/242Nm. The diesel engine is capable of making a peak power of 15PS and a maximum power of 250Nm. With respects to the transmission options, Kia Seltos comes with a standard 6-speed manual unit. However, each engine will be paired with a different automatic gearbox. The 1.5-litre petrol engine is available with a CVT transmission option while the 1.5-litre diesel gets a 6-speed torque converter gearbox. Kia also offers a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine-7-speed DCT which is the most booked option out of the 6 variations on offer.
Kia Seltos’s waiting period ranges from one month to 3 months
The range of the Kia Seltos includes two main lines, HT and GT. HT line includes five variants, namely, HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX and HTX+. GT range comprises of three variants, GTK, GTX and GTX+. IT is noteworthy that the 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine will be available on the GT line only. Here is the variant-wise waiting period of the Kia Seltos as revealed by Autocar India:
