Also, perhaps a side-effect of the paranoia in these times, people would prefer private vehicles to public transport, which might also contribute to the buying surge. This could help boost the popularity of these SUVs even further.

Kia Seltos is available with three engine options- a 1.5-litre petrol, a 1.5-litre diesel, and a 1.4-litre petrol. The 1.5-litre petrol motor is a naturally-aspirated, inline-4 unit, capable of generating 115 PS and 144 Nm of peak power and torque. The 1.5-litre diesel engine is a turbocharged four-cylinder unit, with 115 PS and 250 Nm. The 1.4-litre motor is the most powerful engine option of the bunch, with 140 PS and 242 Nm.

A 6-speed manual gearbox comes standard in all the variants, and you get the choice of an automatic gearbox as well (CVT with 1.5 petrol, 6-speed torque-converter with 1.5 diesel, and 7-speed dual-clutch with 1.4 petrol).
