Not surprisingly, the Huracan continues with the familiar naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 motor under the hood which is tuned with Titanium intake valves and a lightweight exhaust system. The new powertrain is capable of producing 640 hp at 8,000 rpm and 600 Nm of torque, 28 bhp and 24 Nm more than its predecessor respectively. The power-to-weight ratio of 450 hp per tonne.

The new powertrain allows the Huracan to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 2.9 seconds, 0.3 faster than the old model and on par with the Huracan Performante. The sprint to 200 kmph takes only 9 clicks, while top speed is again similar to the Performante at 323.5 kmph. Furthermore, as per the manufacturer, the supercar is capable of braking from 100 kmph to a standstill in a mere 31.9 meters.

Another highlight of the Lamborghini Huracan Evo is the Lamborghini Integrated Vehicle Dynamics (LDVI), which is a centralized controller capable of anticipating the driver’s intentions and adapting the car’s dynamic behaviour to them. Tech upgrades also include an enhanced torque vectoring that works on all four wheels for better responsiveness when cornering.

Speaking at the launching event, Lamborghini India head Sharad Agarwal claimed that the new model is not only lighter but also more agile than the older model and that it is a remarkable improvement from the Lamborghini stable. This is a critical step of the manufacturer towards meeting the growing demand for supercars in the country.
