While the VW T-Roc was launched in India recently, back in its home market, the SUV is now even available in a Convertible variant

Being the German automaker’s first convertible SUV, the VW T-Roc Cabriolet comes with an automatic electrohydraulic soft top. The soft top measures 53.1 kg in weight and can be controlled with the central switch on the central tunnel or via the optional remote control key. A wind deflector is also optional. The soft top can be opened in only 9 seconds at a speed of 30 kmph and it takes 11 seconds to be completely closed. An electromechanical lock system is available to serve the function of keeping the roof in place. If it rains, slats in the rear fenders allow the water to drain through side panels’ longitudinal seams.

The VW T-Roc Cabriolet comes with a safety system equipped behind the rear seats to safeguard the passengers in case of a rollover. Furthermore, reinforcement tubes in the A-pillars and the windscreen frame along with convertible-specific reinforcements are also available in the floor. The VW T-Roc Cabriolet is equipped with Volkswagen Group’s new Modular Infotainment Toolkit which comes with new processors and eSIM to make sure that the car is always connected. The Digital Cockpit virtual and the latest infotainment system of the company are also packed on the vehicle. The VW T-Roc is offered with only an FWD system. It is 4,268 mm long, 1,811 mm wide and 1,522 mm high. The 445-litre cargo space can be expanded to 1,290 litres when the rear-seat row is completely folded.
