Mahindra Alturas G4 Priced At Rs 26.95 Lakh

The 4^th generation of Ssangyong Rexton badged Alturas G4 has hit the showrooms in two variants- the 2WD and the 4WD in which the top-spec 4WD variant is priced at Rs 29.95 Lakh (ex-showroom, India). Utilising the ladder-frame chassis and getting an increase in dimension, the Alturas comes in 4,850mm long, 1,825 mm wide and 1,825 mm high together with a wheelbase of 2,865 mm featuring 244 mm higher.

Under the hood, the Mahindra Alturas G4 is packed with a 2.2-litre diesel engine by Ssangyong that churns out 180.5 hp at 4000 rpm and 420 Nm units at the displacement of 1600-2600 rpm. The flagship sport utility vehicle comes borrowed with Mercedes’s 7-speed Gtronic automatic gearbox and featured a shift-on-fly 4WD system.

Mahindra confirmed to sell the all-new Alturas G4 at the new World of SUVs showrooms. The old Rexton RX 6 is priced at Rs 24.25 Lakh while the RX7 variant is positioned at Rs 25.99 Lakh that is a little cheaper than the latest-gen Alturas 4WD AT. The price of Rs 26.95 Lakh is anticipated to undercut the likes of Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner.
