Mahindra-owned Italian design house 'Pininfarina' has unveiled Battista Anniversario hyper GT to celebrate 9 year anniversary of the Italian coachbuilding and design house.

Mahindra is an Indian car manufacturer that sells SUVs, trucks, buses, and farm equipment across the world. The manufacturer also owns the famous Italian design house – Pininfarina. Early last year, Mahindra showcased an all-electric hypercar to the world in the form of Battista. It was named after the legend who established the design house. Now in the year 2020, Mahindra has unveiled another hypercar in the from of Battista Anniversario, to celebrate 9 year anniversary of the design house created by Battista ‘Pinin’ Farina.

The hyper GT has a rated output of 1,900 HP and 230 Nm.

The Battista is the most powerful electric hypercar ever unveiled to the masses. The Battista Annversario hyper GT takes the legacy further northwards as it features four electric motors to churn out a combined power output of 1,900 horsepower and a max. torque of 2,300 Nm. That’s a lot of horses together in one place. Thus, the car is faster than the 2020 Formula-1 cars. Capable of hitting a tonne in just a blink of an eye, 2 seconds to be precise, while the 300 kmph mark is just 13 seconds away from a prod on the accelerator pedal. Talking of the top speed, folks at Pininfarina have it limited at just 350 kmph. We, for sure, believe the car outrun a Concorde. However, apart from being fast, the Battista Anniversario is frugal as well. It offers a range of more than 500 kilometres, thanks to the 120 kWh battery pack mounted under the T-shaped carbon frame of the car.

In comparison the to the regular Battista, the Anniversario Hyper GT features some extra aerodynamic enhancements in a bid to transfer the power neatly to the tarmac and their’s sufficient drag to keep the car stuck to the ground. Helping it with the adhesion are specially designed tyres, shod on new forged-aluminium wheels. The wheels are lighter than those used on regular Battista, thus reducing the unsprung weight of the car.

Pininfarina Battista Anniversario will be a built by hand in Turin, Italy.

The Battista Anniversario hyper GT is priced at €2.6 million (Rs. 21.16 Crore approximately). Vindicating this exorbitantly high price tag is the fact that Battista Annoversario will be a hand-built car and Pininfarina will build only 5 examples to this electric hypercar. The hyper GT will also be finished in a different colour scheme with a combination of 3 colours, namely Grigio Antonelliano, Bianco Sestriere, and signature Iconica Blu.
