Mahindra Introduces New Entry-Level B2 Variant Of Bolero

Mahindra has recently introduced the new base B2 variant of the Bolero. The popular UV is now offered at a starting price of Rs 7.64 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

A few months back Mahindra & Mahindra introduced the BS6-compliant Bolero in the Indian market. Now, the carmaker has launched the new base-spec B2 trim of the UV. The 2020 Mahindra Bolero is now available in four different trim levels, namely- B2, B4, B6 and B6(O). Also, the SUV is now offered at a starting price of Rs 7.64 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the new entry-level B2 trim and goes all the way up to Rs 9.01 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-spec B6(O) variant. The newly introduced B2 variant of the car Rs 36,000 cheaper than the earlier entry-level B4 trim. The base B2 variant of the SUV will get basic essential features like power steering and AC.

Moreover, it’ll come loaded with all the basic safety features like drive side airbags, ABS and reverse parking sensors. Mechanically, the new B2 trim of the car will derive power from the same 1.5-litre diesel unit, which puts out 75 PS of peak power and 210 Nm of twisting force. The engine comes paired with a 5-speed MT and along with a 4WD system. The diesel unit is rated to offer 16.7 kmpl of fuel-efficiency. As compared to the old BS4 model, the new Mahindra BS6-compliant Bolero is Rs 70,000 costlier. Most of the styling changes have been done to the front fascia of the SUV. Upfront, it gets a revised grille, reshaped bumper and revised headlamps.

On October 2, Mahindra will launch the highly awaited new-gen Thar in the Indian market. The second generation of the country's favourite off-roader was revealed by the automaker on 15th August. It comes loaded with features like a 12-volt accessory socket, remote keyless entry, front power window, cruise control and roof-mounted speakers. It also sports a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with latest connectivity techs, removal doors and a four-wheel-drive option with mechanical locking differential as standard.
