In 2020, Mahindra has focused on renewing its range of vehicles. Apart from the BSVI updates, Mahindra also has some big new-gen launches. One of them is the second-gen Mahindra Thar which is a major hit in the car market during the second half of 2020.

The new Thar was launched in October at the starting price of Rs 9.80 lakh (ex-showroom). However, the introductory prices were only available until December 1. As the entry-level AX variant was discontinued, Mahindra Thar is now on sale from Rs 11.90 lakh onwards. The new SUV receives such overwhelming responses that there is a significant shortage of supply. To meet the increasing demand, Mahindra has to ramp up the production to 3,000 units per month. Even so, the waiting period for the Mahindra Thar has gone up to 10 months.
