Mahindra TUV300 Plus BS6 Version Spotted Testing

The 7-seater TUV300 is claimed to sport a restyled front. The tested unit in the spy shots below does not sport the production headlamps thereby hiding the alterations in this feature. The radiator grille is also likely to be redesigned but it cannot, again, seen in the images. In the rear, the vehicle features wraparound tail lamps and a spare wheel which is mounted on the tailgate.

The Mahindra TUV300 Plus facelift comes with minor design tweaks.

Since this test mule is heavily camouflaged, not many details on the exterior and the interior of the vehicle are revealed. However, like the TUV300, its smaller sibling, the TUV300 Plus is anticipated to be equipped with newly designed dashboard with silver accents. According to the newest brochure of the product, its safety features consist of ABS with EBD, two front airbags, automatic door lock, collapsible driving column, anti-theft lock, sided intrusion bars, digital immobilizer, hazard lights when urgently braking and seatbelt reminder. However, two front airbags and ABS with EBD are not available as standard features.

The new model is expected to offer greater safety and conform to the latest safety standards with a reinforced platform. From April, ABS has been made a compulsory feature in all vehicles in India. From July 1st, driver airbag, ABS, front seatbelt reminder, speed alert, rear parking sensors, and manual override for power door locks have to be provided as standard features on all Indian cars.

The new model is anticipated to comply with the newest safety standards.

The Mahindra XUV300 Plus facelift is anticipated to be powered by an updated version of the BS4-compliant 2.2-litre mHawk 120 oil burner which is mated to a 6-speed MT unit. The current motor can generate a maximum power of 120 PS against a peak torque of 280 Nm. This new version is expected to be fully compliant with the BS-VI emission standards.

The facelifted Mahindra TUV300 Plus will be powered by the BS-VI version of the current engine.

The current Mahindra TUV300 Plus is priced in the range from Rs 9.902 lakh to Rs 11.42 lakh. Considering the launch of the vehicle in June last year, the facelifted TUV300 Plus is expected to be introduced to the Indian auto market by the end of 2019 to be the earliest. With some updated features in design, safety and a BS6 engine, the new model is likely to have a higher price tag, of Rs 11 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
