Mahindra XUV300 Electric Offers a Driving Range of up to 350-400 km

Mahindra XUV300 Electric will be scheduled to launch soon with a driving range of up to 350-400 km. Expect it to cost a couple of lakhs of rupees more than the petrol version

The pure electric variant of the Mahindra XUV300 is set to launch in India. The battery-powered variant will offer a driving range of up to 350 to 400 km.

With the S210, Mahindra XUV300 Electric is available in two engine options. In which, the base level will offer a 380-volt battery that can provide a 200 km. As for the long-range version, it will come with a bigger battery pack will go up to 350-400 km.

Speaking about the launch of the Mahindra XUV300 electric, Dr Pawan Goenka, Managing Director, Mahindra & Mahindra has stated,

“It (Mahindra XUV300 Electric) will have 380 volts, 200 km range and there will be an option to increase the range up to 350-400 km and this is what will create the excitement at a price point.”

As per the images revealed last year, the base level trim of the Mahindra XUV300 Electric will be offered with a 90 kW (122.37 PS) motor. In particular, in February last year, Mahindra had signed an agreement with LG Chem, as per which, LG will develop a unique cell as well as supply Li-Ion cells which are derived from NMC (nickel-manganese-cobalt) chemistry with high energy density.

There has been any confirmation that Mahindra will sell the pure electric basic version and long-range version right from the launch or not. However, XUV300 Electric has been set to launch in the second half of 2020.

At the time of launch, the Mahindra XUV300 Electric will take on the likes of Hyundai Styx which will go on sale around the end of next month in the sub-4-metre SUV segment.
