Maruti Suzuki says the Festive Editions of the Alto, Celerio and Wagon R are aimed at first-time buyers this festive seasons. Further details below.
As the festive season approaches with Diwali right around the corner, Maruti Suzuki has decided to join the celebrations by announcing special versions of the Alto, Celerio, and the Wagon R. The special edition accessories add a few upgrades which enhance the visual appeal of the three best-selling cars in the Indian market.
The Maruti Suzuki Alto Festive Edition gets new features like a new steering wheel cover along with dual-tone seat covers as well as a Pioneer touchscreen audio system paired with 6-inch Kenwood speakers and updated security systems. Coming over to the Celerio Festive Edition, it gets new seat covers and designer mats as well and a Sony two-din audio with Bluetooth integration and piano black side mouldings. The third-generation Maruti Wagon R was launched in January 2019 and has been a strong seller ever since. For the Wagon R Festive Edition, it gets a few exterior upgrades like chrome garnished front upper grille, side skirts, and bumper protectors front and rear. The interior gets a new accessory kit and seat covers. The Festive Edition kits of the Maruti Suzuki Alto and Celerio are priced at Rs 25,490 and 25,990 respectively while the Wagon R kit is priced at Rs 29,900 and is can be fitted at all Maruti Suzuki authorized dealerships.
Aimed at first-time buyers, Maruti aims to attract first-time buyers, as the festive period is a very auspicious time to purchase new products. Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said during the launch: “We are excited to launch the bold and spirited festive edition variants of our top-selling cars. These special editions will stir up the festive enthusiasm with their dashing looks, style, and comfort. Exclusive accessory kits for every edition will empower our trusted customers to choose and reflect their own distinctive styles this festive season.”
As for the Maruti Suzuki Alto Festive Edition, it gets features like dual-tone seat covers and steering wheel cover along with a Pioneer touchscreen music system, 6” Kenwood speakers, and security system. The Celerio Festive Edition, on the other hand, comes with new seat covers, Sony two-din audio with Bluetooth, piano black side mouldings, and designer mats. The largest carmaker in the country introduced the third generation Wagon R back in January 2019 and it has been well-received among customers. It's Festive Edition, priced at Rs. 29,900, composes of exterior add-ons like chrome garnished front upper grille, side skirts, new seat covers, and interior accessory kit, alongside bumper protectors up front and the rear.
The Maruti Suzuki Celerio is due for an update as an all-new model and is slated for launch sometime next year. The Alto has been on a legendary run as the highest-selling car in India for 16 years and the Wagon R is a consistent presence in the top-selling charts for two decades.
