Maruti Eeco Cargo variant has been removed from the Arena dealerships and will be now sold at the company's commercial showrooms, where it will be on sale alongside the Super Carry

Maruti Suzuki has the largest network of dealerships among all the carmakers, with over 2,900 showrooms spread across India. Currently, the brand has four branches of showrooms, including Arena, Nexa, True Value and Commercial. Maruti Suzuki Commercial specializes in the retail of commercial vehicles like pick-up trucks and vans. So far, Maruti Suzuki has established over 300 Commercial showrooms in 230 cities across India.

Currently, the Commercial retail showrooms are responsible for the sale of the Super Carry LCV only as the Omni was recently discontinued owing to its inability to be upgraded. To expand the options range for the customers, Maruti Suzuki has now decided to remove the Eeco Cargo from the Arena showrooms and sell it from the Commercial chain instead. The Maruti Eeco has been available with two fuel options, petrol and CNG. The petrol variant is powered by a 1.2-litre BSIV compliant unit that delivers a maximum power of 73 PS and 101 Nm. On the other hands, the CNG-fitted models can churn out a power of 62 PS and 85 Nm. It comes with a five-speed manual gearbox.

This commercial vehicle’s length, width and height measure 3,675 mm, 1,475 mm and 1,800 mm, respectively. It features a 1,280 front track and a 1,290 mm rear track. On the back of the vehicle, the Eeco Cargo also gets a covered 1,620-mm-long cargo space with a flat loading bay. This cargo room has a loading capacity of 620 kg. The vehicle weighs over 1.5 tons. With a minimum turning radius of 4.5 m, the Maruti Eeco can allow easy manoeuvrability in jam-packed traffic.

In terms of engineering, Maruti Eeco employs a three-link rigid rear suspension and MacPherson struts upfront. The brake system includes disc brakes for the front and drum brakes for the rear. Besides, the vehicle also features 13-inch tubeless tyres, headlight levelling, moulded roof lining and high-set stop lamp. The interior of the Eeco is available with climate control, rear parking sensors and a fire extinguisher. The safety package of the Eeco Cargo comes with reverse parking sensor and dual front seat belt reminder. Besides, the Eeco is built with side impact beams for better safety for the driver and passengers.
