The Concept Futuro-e has just been revealed to the public at Auto Expo 2020

In fact, the Futuro-e coupe-SUV concept is a surprise debut to the carmaker’s range at the 2020 Auto Expo. Just some days ago, Maruti Suzuki teased the Futuro-e concept to the press and public. Now that the EV has been revealed to the public, we can check out all the intricate design details for ourselves.

The electric SUV by Maruti features a lot of bold design choices

The biggest highlights of the design are the boomerang-shaped headlamps. Apart from those, we also get muscular front and rear fenders along with the strong character lines. Also, we can notice the lack of tall pillars in the vehicle that adds much to the sporty quotient of the electric coupe-SUV model.

The Futuro-e concept also gets a low-slung stance and a raked windshield area. Despite being a coupe-like SUV, the car comes with a large greenhouse area that signifies the sufficient spaciousness with an ample boot on the inside. Other characters of the Maruti Futuro-e crossover includes a dynamic coupe roofline, tapering rear fascia with LED taillights extending wildly at the rear.

Conceptualised and designed in India, the Futuro-e Concept will target the country's aspirational youth

The Maruti Futuro-e concept, just like the Future S concept back in Auto Expo 2020, will be more of an inspiration for future Maruti cars rather than a blueprint. The final production model will definitely be a lot more conservative in design than the car present at the 2020 Auto Expo. Not only that, but the design philosophy of the Futuro E will also be a showcase of all the future products from Maruti Suzuki. The production-spec Futuro-e SUV is expected to be introduced to the Indian market in 2021. It will become solid contender to the newly-launched zero-emission Tata Nexon EV or the imminent Mahindra XUV300 EV.
