Maruti Ignis Facelift Launched Tomorrow – Here Are The Expected Changes

Maruti Ignis had received the latest updates two years ago, and the new-generation version has finally arrived this year, on February 20. After the launch of the new Baleno, the Ignis will be the next on the list of update-required models of Maruti. The constant updates of new model reflect Maruti’s plan to keep their portfolio fresh until the new generation revision.

Even though the update plays as the stepping stone for the far-future new generation overhaul; there is still a great deal to look forward. Now, let’s seen what is expected to be on offer with the new Maruti Ignis.

On the exterior front, the facelift Ignis is likely to come with projector headlamps. Besides the current offer of dual front airbags, ABS, pre-tensioner, ISOFIX child seat anchor across the range, the safety kid is added with new high-speed alert system and rear parking sensors.

Inside the car, the interior will be packed with some new techs. The current SmartPlay infotainment system is upgraded. Besides, automatic air conditioning will come available from the next-to-the-base Zeta grade while defogger feature will be included on the second-to-top-spec grade.

It is unlikely that the Maruti Ignis could gain anything more than these expected new features. In other words, the mechanic setting will stay mostly the same in its new facelift version. The pre-facelift 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine stays still under the hood of the Ignis. The 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox will continue to do the transmission mission on the Ignis. Back in 2018, Maruti Ignis has bid its goodbye to the diesel variants, citing the low sales volume.
