The Ignis Limited Edition has recently been launched by India’s favourite brand, Maruti with cosmetic changes and certain new features.

In terms of the exterior, Maruti has redecorated the Ignis Limited Edition with a wide range of novel design features like a robust body kit with skid plates on the front and rear, tough side door cladding and a glittering roof spoiler. All of these contribute to the car’s sportiness.

As regards the interior, the Ignis Limited Edition offers exceptional leather seat upholstery and high-quality floor mats. Except for these, it retains the design of other features and the dashboard of the standard Ignis such as

  • 2-Din audio system with Bluetooth connectivity

  • Keyless entry

  • Easily-adjusted ORVMs

The vehicle is expected to leave the customers with no worry about safety since it is equipped with a list of safety features, including:

  • ABS

  • EBD

  • Dual airbags

With the discontinuation of diesel engine on the Ignis at the beginning of this year, the only option available is the 1.2-litre petrol engine, which can churn out 83hp and a peak torque of 113Nm. The transmission options include a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox.

Despite no revelation about the new vehicle’s price has been made, it is expected to be priced at Rs 5.28-5.83 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), slightly more than the standard Delta variant. The Ignis can directly rival the Mahindra KUV100 NXT and Ford Freestyle in Indian auto market in general and hatchback segment in particular.
