In partnership with Orix, Maruti Suzuki has recently introduced its new car leasing service named Maruti Suzuki Subscribe. This is a part of a pilot project that will be available for individual customers in Gurugram and Bengaluru. Note that Maruti Suzuki Subscribe is different from its previous leasing schemes as it’s targeted the individual buyers but not the corporate ones.

Hyundai Motor India launched its own subscription model last year as a part of its strategic tie-up with self-driving car-sharing company Revv.

In a similar fashion, MG Motor with a partnership with car-sharing and car subscription firm, Myles, also introduced its car leasing subscription services. In May this year, Volkswagen joined the game with its own car-leasing program that allows the customers to lease all of its BS6-compliant cars with a lock-in period of 2 to 4 years.

In the wake of virus pandemic, it is obvious that the Indian automobile makers are finding new ways out to make profits like the subscription services to push their sales and attracts more customers.
