Maruti Suzuki To Discontinue The Outgoing Ertiga Ahead Of November 21

The all-new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga which is scheduled to launch on November 21, 2018, will put an end to its precedent Ertiga in the Indian market.

The largest home-grown carmaker, Maruti Suzuki, has prepared all sets to launch the new generation of Ertiga in India. The outgoing vehicle has been put on sale for six years and got a mid-cycle updated version in October 2015. Maruti has confirmed to cease the current-gen Ertiga before the new model comes to dealerships. Some information revealed that the old Ertiga shall be renamed and traded as a fleet-vehicle but it is not yet confirmed by the manufacturer.

The precedent Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is under discontinuance to make space for its descendant

The first generation of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has been introduced to the Indian customers at Rs 4.2 lakh in April 2012. It has been available with 1.4-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engine options. The petrol-powered version received an additional 4-speed automatic gearbox later. Since its launch, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has topped as the well-received model of the company’s segment lineup thanks to its appealing vista on the outside and sense of comfort on the inside. This time around, the all-new Ertiga will experience a variety of technological and aesthetic upgrades.

The all-new model will undergo a variety of interior and exterior upgrades to appeal to customers

On the outside, the new MPV will increase in dimensions and appear in a more sophisticated look. The interior of the next-gen Ertiga comes with major tweaks to promote its modernity. The collection of safety features also received major upgrades with

  • Dual front airbags

  • Anti-lock braking system

  • Electronic Brake-force Distribution

  • Reverse Parking Sensors

  • Rear parking sensors for high-spec trim

Mechanically, the 2018 Ertiga carries on using two engine options including a 1.5-litre petrol 4-cylinder K15B engine and a 1.3-litre diesel motor on offer.

The 2018 Ertiga will be available in the dealerships in one week to come

The outgoing generation will be ceased from the production line and dealers ahead of November 21 to make room for the much-awaited version. It’s time for the Indian auto enthusiasts to welcome the new edition of the Maruti Ertiga- the product of versatility and innovation.
