The power is sent to the front wheels through a 5-speed MT gearbox. The SUV has a quite good mileage of 24.19 kmpl. Earlier, the Vitara Brezza received 4 stars on the front adult occupants’ protection and 2 stars on rear children protection in the safety test conducted by Global NCAP. The SUV segment is becoming more competitive than ever before with the Tata Nexon becoming more popular, the recently-launched Mahindra XUV300 with a wide range of segment-leading features and the upcoming Hyundai QXi. Nevertheless, the advantages of the Maruti SUVs such as the high fuel economy and the good after-sales service remain to help the Indian largest automaker remain its leading position in the segment.
In the foreseeable future, Toyota-branded Vitara Brezza subcompact SUV will be launched in India, thanks to the partnership between the two car manufacturers to share expertise and platform in order to reduce the price. At that time, the two companies will have a good chance of increasing their competitiveness in this teeming segment.
