After the revelation of the facelifted C-class at the Geneva motor show at the beginning of this year, the luxury sedan is going to be launched by Mercedes-Benz on September 20, 2018.

The exterior of the facelifted version looks not much different from its predecessor. However, some improvements can still be noticed. The bumpers get a few tweaks; the alloy wheels get a new design. Moreover, it is also packed with two variations of all-LED headlights and LED tail-lights. The rear end could sport a refined bumper to add to the premium appearance of the car.

As regards the interior, the additional features are expected to include a 10.25-inch high-resolution screen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument console for the COMAND infotainment system as well as a newly-designed steering wheel. Furthermore, the car is likely to be equipped with some features to contribute to the driver and the co-passengers’ comfort. For example, the passengers on the rear seats can get personal temperature zones; the rear seats could offer a 60:40 split with a boot space of 480 litres.

The new C-class is expected to be underpinned by the same Modular Rear Architecture (MRA) platform and also get the same power source. It offers two engine variants: petrol and diesel one. The former will be powered by the 2.0-litre engine, delivering 181bhp. On the other hand, the latter will be powered by the 2.2-litre engine, which produces 167bhp and 201bhp as its two states of tune. Both of the two engines come paired with the nine-speed ‘G-TRONIC’ gearbox.
