MG Hector Hybrid Mileage Revealed

Mileage of the upcoming MG Hector Hybrid was recently revealed by Autocar India, The MG Hector Hybrid will become India's most affordable 48-volt mild-hybrid vehicle.

MG Hector recently revealed in India on May 15, 2019. We have got to know a lot of things about the upcoming mid-size MG SUV. Many of you have updated yourselves with the images and features of the all-new Hector. But now, a recent report by Autocar India reveals the Hector hybrid’s official fuel efficiency figure which is around 15.81kpl. The 6-speed manual MG Hector petrol mill returns a mileage of 14.16kpl and the 13.96kpl with the 6-speed dual-clutch automatic this means that the mild-hybrid engine is nearly 1.7kpl more efficient than the conventional petrol-MT version and it is also nearer to the Hector diesel’s mileage of 17.41kpl.

A mild-hybrid system is a cost-effective and far simpler setup compared to the full-blown strong hybrid setup.

The mild-hybrid technology is only available with top of the line variants- Super, Smart and Sharp and it only come paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Powering the MG Hector Hybrid is a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. A mild-hybrid system is a cost-effective and far simpler setup compared to the full-blown strong hybrid setup. It also offers plenty of advantages. It comes adjoined to the 1.5-litre, turbo petrol motor which will produce 143 bhp of power and the 48V mild-hybrid system in the MG Hector will provide up to 20 Nm of supplementary torque at economical speeds that will improve turbo lag and provide enhanced acceleration in stop-start city jam.

To offer a good mileage, the SUV will likely to feature an automatic engine stop-start system that switches the engine off when the SUV is standing at the halt.
