The all-new MG Hector Plus has been listed on the company’s official website. The 6-seater SUV is expected to hit the Indian shores next month.

MG Motor India made a strong impression in the Indian market by launching Hector last year. The SUV has done quite well in terms of overall sales. After looking at the success of the MG Hector, the carmaker decided to expand its SUV line-up by launching the ZS EV. Now, MG has plans to introduce its third model in the domestic market based on the Hector. The carmaker will launch the Hector Plus by next month, which is the 6-seater version of the regular Hector. Once launched, it’ll compete with the likes of upcoming Tata Gravitas and Hyundai Creta 7-seater. MG showcased the 3-row Hector at the 2020 Auto Expo earlier this year. The SUV has already started arriving at the MG dealerships acrosss the country.

Moreover, the car is now listed on the company’s official website, hinting that the launch could happen in the coming weeks. Compared to the regular 5-seater model, the upcoming Hector Plus can accommodate 6-passengers at once. The new SUV also features minor styling tweaks to differentiate from the regular trim.

Upfront, it gets new LED headlamps, revised auxiliary lamps, redesigned radiator grille and restyled bumper. The side profile of the car looks very similar to the regular Hector, but the length of the car has been increased by 65mm, which is hardly noticeable because the wheelbase of the SUV remains the same. The rear fascia of the car features Hector-like taillights that, unlike the donor model, aren't connected via a red reflector strip.

Furthermore, the bumper and diffuser at the back have also been redesigned. Moreover, on the inside, the SUV will be very similar to that of the 5-seater model, but one could expect the upholstery options to be a bit different. Mechanically, the car will derive power from a 1.5-litre turbocharged mild-hybrid gasoline engine and a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, which puts out power and torque outputs of 170 PS and 350 Nm. Transmission duties will be done by a 6-speed MT or an optional DCT.
