MG has commenced with the production of the Hector Plus at its Gujrat-based manufacturing facility and will launch the car in the country by the first-half of July.

MG India is all set to launch the Hector Plus in the Indian market by next month. If dealer-level sources are to be believed, the launch is likely to take place in the second week of July. MG has already commenced the production exercise of the Hector Plus and would soon start with dealer dispatch. However, the unofficial bookings for the Hector Plus were recently reported to have started at MG dealers across the nation. The Hector Plus is a 6-seater version of the outgoing Hector. It will be sold alongside the Hector. With the Hector Plus, MG is eyeing one of the best-selling MPV of the country – Toyota Innova Crysta.

The Hector Plus will have an incremented length of 65 mm over the outgoing Hector. Therefore, it will measure 4,720 mm in length. On the front, the Hector Plus features a redesigned bumper with a refreshed radiator grille and LED DRLs. The rear fascia is revamped as well, with the use of new bumper and sleeker LED tail lamps. Overall, the design looks plusher in comparison to the outgoing Hector.

On the inside, the Hector Plus will get captain chairs for the second row of seats. Also, with the 3rd-row in place, the boot space has shrunk by a fair margin. However, with the last-row folded flat, boot space is just short of 56 litres in comparison to the 5-seater Hector.
