MG Hector Special Anniversary Edition Launched, New Features Added

Being the first product manufactured by MG Motor to enter the India market, the MG Hector is also the most popular vehicle of out the current three India-spec MG models here. To maximize the profit out of this nameplate, MG has decided to expand the line-up of the MG Hector by launching the MG Hector Special Anniversary Edition. Based on the Super trim of the regular model, the new special edition is available with both diesel and petrol powertrain.

MG Hector Special Anniversary Edition is introduced with a couple of new features 

MG Hector Special Anniversary Edition retains the similar design, dimensions and as well as the mechanical setting. What makes this model distinguished from the standard version is a host of new additional features. MG Hector Special Anniversary Edition is equipped with all the bells and whistles offered on the top-spec Super variant. In addition, MG Motor also includes other new features like wireless charger, air purifier, a bigger 24.4-cm display and Medklinn in-house kit on this new model.

About the powertrain setting, the MG Hector Special Anniversary Edition is offered with two engine options, a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.0-litre diesel engine. While the petrol engine is good for 141 Bhp and 250 Nm, the diesel unit puts out 168 Bhp and 350 Nm. These two engines come with a standard 6-speed manual gearbox.

Despite having all these additional advanced features, MG Hector Special Anniversary Edition is available at the same price as the Super trim from the standard line-up. This attractive offering would definitely worth considering for SUV buyers.

In related news, the MG Hector Plus, the seven-seater version of the Hector, just received a revised price scheme. MG Motor has increased the price of the MG Hector Plus by Rs 46,000. At the moment, the MG Hector Plus is available from Rs 13.74 lakh to Rs 18.69 lakh. Along with the price revision for the MG Hector Plus, the MG Motor is also preparing for the launch MG Gloster SUV which is expected to go on sale during this festive season.
