MG Hector will be well-equipped with a slew of segment-first features

In the beginning, the new SUV will come with two engine options, a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine. The petrol unit will be mated to either a 6-speed manual gearbox or 6-speed dual clutch automatic transmission while the diesel engine will come with only the six-speed manual gearbox. After MG Hector, MG Motor will introduce their second India-spec model, the MG eZS in the fourth quarter of 2019. Unlike the Hector, MG eZS will be manufactured in China and exported to India via the CBU route.
